Tonight’s follow up to last week’s underwhelming Treehouse of Horror episode is “Lisa Simpson, This Isn’t Your Life”. We’ve got a dull, lifeless description from Simpsons Channel, which merits a dull, lifeless response:
Discovering that Marge was once a stellar A+ student whose grades plummeted after being distracted, Lisa fears that she will end up just like her mom unless she pledges to focus solely on academics in an encore episode. When Marge makes a secret deal allowing Lisa to attend her dream school, Lisa learns a lesson in family and altruism. Meanwhile, Bart puts Nelson in his place and unintentionally claims the title of “School Bully.”
Oh goodie. No blood this week, I just don’t have it in me.

It’s just going to be another one of those dreary episodes in which Lisa is given an opportunity to change her life and yet in the end is given some reason why it all has to go back to the exact same grind it’s been for the past 24737491734 years. Judging from the picture, it’ll probably be because Marge has to take on seven cleaning jobs or something in order to pay the school fees, and Lisa realises she can’t let her mother live like this. A storyline which has already been done, and you don’t need me to tell you that.
Of course, most of my predictions are wrong, but the “everything goes back to normal” meme actually doesn’t last forever, it turns out. At least, not in my opinion.
ANOTHER LISA EPISODE?? WHEN WILL THEY STOP and I thought Lisa has the smart simpson gene as shown in Season 9 :S
Lisa is lacking the stupid “Y” Chromosome, but she really isn’t gentically smarter…until Season 23 where they’ll say she really isn’t Homer’s daughter and Marge slept with a harvard professor in a minigolf prop.
Judging from , it’s actually even worse – Marge goes the lowest possible (without recurring to sexual intercourse) . And then .
Going by the synopsis, this episode sounds like a composite of plot-points the show has done about 7500 times before.
