To this day, I still think this is one of the funniest cheats in TV writing history. Characters always arrive just too late to stop a disaster when it’s convenient to move the plot forward – I love that they handwaved it away here with the dumbest, most mundane explanation possible.
This is one of my all-time favorite quotes from the series.
