We’ve posted a few Tweets about Marge Simpson’s upcoming Playboy cover, but let’s take a few minutes to assess what is surely one of the show’s most asinine promotional gimmicks ever. Scratch that, let’s just use another animated gif:
Genius Playboy CEO Scott Flanders (seriously) says:
…The idea is to attract readers in their 20s to a magazine where the average reader’s age is 35.
Right, because the first image I want to think of when I’m knocking one out in the morning is a cartoon character and implied nudity. Then again, what do I know? We get more hits on this site from our on-again-off-again Pornography Monday features than anything else. Maybe this will appeal to those with a few screws loose in their head (read: Zombie Simpsons fans), but for the sake of humanity I hope I’m wrong.
Look on the bright side, it could have been Agnes Skinner or The Cat Lady. *shudders*, I’ll be on my way now…
