Hah, funny how some jokes gain a deeper level of meaning when written down. At first watching this, I thought the joke was about how Apu’s Indian surname was unmarketable to a Western audience. Now, reading it in writing, I see that the second joke is how Nigel is replacing Apu’s long and SCARY Indian surname with an equally long and outlandish surname, but redone in a Western manner, so it’s OK. :D
