Better execution than the Family Guy episode with a similar plot,
if only for the “see my vest” song and dance.
I remember seeing this episode when I was young and not understanding this part. Oh, how time flies…
Something I thought about recently, as I was playing one of my favorite series, Tex Murphy and discovered this website: The surrealism in Tex Murphy and old episodes of Simpsons is similar. You complain that the Simpsons was bastardized when it stopped being relatively realistic and became cartoonish and wacky. Tex Murphy is the same way: It is actually pretty straightforward noir, despite being set in a post-apocalyptic world. Bits of science fiction and humor enliven the series, but for the most part, it focuses on serious detective work, searching through random objects, interviewing sleazy suspects and solving puzzles. I usually prefer games and cartoons to be less realistic, but I guess both struck a good balance. I hope the rumors are true that a new Tex Murphy game is being planned.
Fuck yes, Tex Murphy!…. This is the best comment I’ve read in a long time.
I think it’s Bart’s facial expression that really makes this scene so funny.
Weird, I just randomly watched this episode before getting on here…
