Remember when the economy was good and when you turned on the news all they had to talk about was blowjobs and cigars? Ah, such better times. Life was truly better. Square still made good games. Simpsons was still good. You could find an alright job. Everyone wasn’t disconnected from reality. Yeah, the internet took an hour to download a 10 second .mov file but you know what? It was FUCKING WORTH IT. I have 5000 movies downloaded I will never have time to watch. Shrug.
Simpler times.
At least porn is easier to access now. And youtube is cool. So yeah. That.
We also had Ren and Stimpy; more than one season of Beavis and Butthead; The X-Files; First Person Shooters that were distinguishable; and Seinfeld, Just Shoot Me, Married with Children and Frasier instead of racist bullshit with no jokes like Modern Family and The New Normal. Then again, today we have Suda 51, Mario Galaxy, Good Old Games, Revolution, Grimm, an upcoming continuation of Arrested Development, the Wii and Wii U, Rayman Origins–I also played a demo of Legends on the Wii U, and it looked like a worthy sequel–Edward MacMullen, and some fun tributes to classic games like Mega Man 9 and 10, Castle the Adventre Rebirth, Rage of the Gladiator, etc. somaybe things are not so bad.
