The funniest part of that episode was when a flower got stuck backwards in Homer’s forehead. The rest was just dull.

I also liked the peyote hallucinations of everyone in town (including Barney using the pink elephants from his alcohol-based hallucinations to defeat the demon from his peyote-based hallucinations, Flanders seeing the Grateful Dead bears, the hammers from Pink Floyd’s “The Wall,” and the lips from The Rolling Stones, and Jasper and Abe channelling Beavis and Butthead as they sit on a park bench and laugh moronically).

This episode lies near the top of Season 10 IMO. I agree that the hallucinations (and what led up to it) were among the best parts of the episode (if not the best), but I also get a kick out of “Uptown Girl” being Homer’s 1960s freak-out song and also December 31st, 1969 being the day the 60s died in a way when Seth and Munchie sold their bus (among other scenes and lines). Like Charlie said, Homer the Hippie jives well with his laziness.
