Oh. OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO…. man. Say what you will about Scully’s wild tenure downhill slide, but the people working on the show were at least able to still be able to do good with the little stuff. One of those little things was slippin’ it past the censors.
And Season 9’s animation, while definitely noticeably lesser in quality than previous seasons (due to the loss of crispness and increase in fuzziness for some reason), could still pull off some good looking moments when they felt like it. Note the simple yet effective shading/lighting above.
