“I hope all you kids come out this weekend and really pack this place, just to show ’em how grateful I am.  I told them you would!  Don’t make me a liar.” – Krusty the Klown

Our old friend Philip J. Reed is conducting a survey about the show:

I’ve prepared a very quick 10-question survey that I’d like you to answer if you’ve ever seen The Simpsons.
Seriously; it should be damned quick. If it’s going slowly, it’s because you’re driving yourself insane trying to be comprehensive…so don’t do that. Say what comes to mind, give it a little bit of thought at most, and submit.

This is all a prelude to some other, grander project, but he needs your Simpsons opinions, so you should probably go give them to him:

I just took it.  Didn’t hurt a bit.

I’m just curious as to what you put for the “began to dip” and “irreversible dip” parts. (I put “Marge Be Not Proud” and “Season 11”, FYI.)

Here’s my list for most and least favorite episodes:

MOST: Selma’s Choice, Boy Scoutz-In-Da-Hood, Bart of Darkness, Bart Sells His Soul, Lisa’s Pony, The Twisted World of Marge Simpson, Treehouse of Horror III
LEAST: Blame It On Lisa, Eight Misbehavin, Alone Again Natura-Diddily, Days of Wine and D’oh-ses, Mona Leaves-a, Pranks and Greens

For the “introduce new viewer with only ONE episode” part, I chose “Lisa’s Pony” because I thought it captured the Simpsons family dynamic well (in a funny way, of course) and wasn’t heavy on the “gimmicks” per se like my other picks were.

I was happy to take my time with it, it was a lot of fun. Lisa’s Pony is a very good choice for the “introductory” ep. I picked Homer Goes to College cuz it’s tsill damn funny.
