What episode does that come from? It looks pretty much zombied.
The link to the image says it, “The Mansion Family”. And not only the animation is too zombie, Homer’s actitude here is a little zombie too. It would have had more sense to feature a background character or a mob trying to steal Jebediah’s statue than Homer. But I barely remember this episode, so maybe it made sense to put Homer stealing it.
It was a recurring “gag” throughout the opening set piece that Homer thought for sure he was going home with armfuls of awards, but didn’t win one. So, yeah, very zombie – more of entitled Homer thinking he’s so great and that everyone has to love him.
Damn, that sounds awful. I couldn’t stop thinking about that S4/5 episode (cannot remember which one) where its subplot was about Homer going to adult school because he didn’t pass a Physics course in high school, so he could be given back all the awards he won at the reunion party before being disqualified. But that subplot was much better, because Homer didn’t expect an award, and he won all the terrible, humilliating ones, and it has, well, actual gags, like the burning donut one, instead of endings featuring pirates (or maybe I’m mistaking the ending of “The Mansion Family” with a different one)
Poor Jebediah…
This one was kind of zombified, but had some good moments too. I don’t think Homer stealing the set piece is that bad, consider his history of stealing awards and certificates. Ask Flanders and Dr. Haing S. Ngor.
