never cared for this episode; the idea of playing ice hockey seemed so out of place, where you never see the kids play street hockey in any other episode.
i guess the (sub-plot?) (joke?) about Marge having this dark, sicko side seemed subversive at the time – and actually meta-subversive, since the SImpsons was subversive itself, but Marge was defined as one of the moral (albeit naive) centers of the show.
but now when i look at the joke, it seems more in place with a ZS episode – where the writers are forcing some original, zany idea into an episode…
