An ongoing ramble by Charlie Sweatpants . .
Is the joke that these are tame words, or that Grampa’s saying bad-for-the-time words on television? Because those words WEREN’T bad for the time on television, were they? There’s no way there were.
The former. Horny was the only one that woulda caused trouble potentially, and even then probably not
lol Remember in The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace, when Bart is swearing?
Bart: Hey dad, heard you swearing, mind if I join in? Crap, boobs, crap.
Then later: “Yeah! Hell, damn, fart!”
That was just embarrassing. They could say half of those words on Nickelodeon.
Family Jewels was used in that very episode!
Most certainly intentional.
I can picture a certain elderly relative writing a letter like this. Then there are others who just wouldn’t give a damn.
