Instances such as the moment above, and Homer stepping on a nail whilst building a dog kennel, are examples of when the show could do violence and make it bloodless and funny. Before Zombie Simpsons got hung up on geysers of blood and screaming which would inevitably accompany every (frequent) moment of violence.
