It wouldn’t take long for the very idea of Homer pawning the TV (for the good of the family!) to look ridiculous. Marge getting drunk at the work party and embarrassing Homer is very odd to see too…
I still love the bit where the father and son came out with a gun to threaten the Simpsons family after they were spying on them, classic moment.
