Glyn Stott, who by all appearances has still not done his Simpsons/Zombie Simpsons viewing marathon, did get married recently.  He and his partner went down to Cardiff City Hall to get hitched, but they had to do so without the giant replicas of Homer and Marge they’d acquired.  According to city officials, the inanimate objects weren’t allowed to attend on account of their not being “solemn and dignified”.  BBC has the full story, though I’m dubious that Marge is really over seven feet tall, even with the hair.  She’s sitting down, and that thing doesn’t look like it can be repositioned.  The final sentence is fun though:

The Marge model weighs five stone and has the extra height because of her huge shock of blue hair.

Five stone, by the way, is about seventy pounds.  Get that woman some food!
