   I can’t remember if this was the first episode where Homer does that running-away “hee-hee…” giggle, or if it was starting to get annoying.

   I remember this season as having interesting starts to an episode and then getting real dumb toward the end. wasn’t this the one with the Tony Randall joke?

      Yeah it started off well enough with a trip out to dinner and an eating contest, Homer confuses a trucker for Tony Randall, orders a glass of meatballs, etc. Then the trucker dies after winning the eating contest, Homer assumes his route, enrages other truckers by giving away their secret auto-drive system, blah blah blah, it just gets too insultingly unfunny to even keep writing. I’m embarrassed to have even written this much.

         Btw for one I’ll defend Family Guy here by saying that their take on the “trucker pills” with Stewie then going berserk was tons funnier.
