Probably the only good part of that very dismal episode.
I understand they recycled this joke in a much later episode, only they actually showed the bird exploding on screen. It’s much, much funnier in a setup like this when the ridiculous violence is implied.
I never thought I’d be praising a Mike Scully episode for subtlety, but I guess that’s where we are now.
Every new season is making the Scully seasons look that much better.

I have to deal with a parrot occasionally, and it screams constantly and bites everyone. Maybe I should take this advice.
