When a beloved Springfielder dies, four residents recall life events that they would like to do over. Among them: Homer bemoans selling a tech stock to purchase a bowling ball, and Marge fears that she’s the reason Bart is such a rebellious child. Others wishing for a do-over are Mr. Burns, who recalls a long-ago romance with a lovely Parisienne, and newsman Kent Brockman who regrets not leaving the local station to take a job with cable news.

After the replay of Bart the Lover, this fresh zombie simpsons will hit the air.  Not sure who is going to die, but it is apparently a minor character and the major death that has been in the news will happen in the season 26 premier.

Eh, unless they’re killing a major character like Family Guy says it’s going to do this season, I’m not the slightest bit interested. (I’ve stopped watching Family Guy as well as Zombie Simpsons, but if a show like that says it’s going to kill a main character I can’t help but be a little curious, especially because I want to see if my guess is right)

I am, however, looking forward to Charlie’s analysis of the episode.

“Bart the Lover” was supposed to air at 7:30? Then why is “The Ned-liest Catch” airing right now? Yuck.

“PWNED”? How long have you been on the internet, mister?

Fox really let us “classic” Simpsons aficionados down tonight.

Due to the length of the football game (7:30 PM EST), they preempted “Bart the Lover” (1992) for the stale, less exciting “The Ned-liest Catch”. Very disappointed.

That’s really weird. “Bart the Lover” was going to be aired to honor Marcia Wallace. Why not get rid of “The Ned-liest Catch”?

    2. SarahJesness (@SarahJesness) Avatar

TV listings show that “The Ned-liest Catch” was never going to air today. They probably switched it out for some other reason. (I have a theory that FOX doesn’t air original Simpsons reruns because they don’t want people to watch them and realize how crappy Zombie Simpsons is, ha ha. I kid, of course.)

So the character they killed off was “Chip”, a character that they’ve never introduced.

Karma is a bitch. They tastelessly market the death of a “beloved Springfieldian” to drum up attention only to have Marcia Wallace die a week before the episode. I hope Al Jean feels like shit.

    1. SarahJesness (@SarahJesness) Avatar

Oy, I figured they’d do that. They don’t even have the guts to kill off a minor character.

Al Jean doesn’t feel like shit. Shit wishes it would feel like Al Jean sometime.
Who the fuck was Chip btw? Peter’s twin rings a bell, was it another lame-o Twitter inside joke of the summer or something?

Wasn’t Chip a 16-year old hippie surfer living with the Simpsons one time? I remember a scene where Marge says bye to him, and he calls her Mrs. S.

Maybe I’m imagining it, like Homer imagined his adolescence at Riverdale high, dreaming about Ringo Starr, painting and perfecting his French.

I wouldn’t recommend any ZS to anyone living out the misery right now, just for the sake of avoiding suicidal thoughts. Hope your life’s really sweet today, so’s that you’ve decided to put some shit as such into it, eh.

Really? They did the thing where they purposely and blatantly kill off a character nobodies heard of before as if it’s a huge loss? So many other shows have done this. Clone High beat you by 10 years.

Not to mention The Real Simpsons did a much funnier variation on that gag in “The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show”, remember Roy? Ironically that gag was so memorable everyone now remembers Roy fondly.

Yeah, Chip was never seen before. We got it, thanks.

I remember Roy leaving the Simpsons house at the end of that episode; that’s it.

Actually it probably would have been mildly funnier if they killed off a character like Roy. At least then you could have an “oh yea I remember that episode” chuckle from the reference.

*gasp* You’re not supposed to remember what happened in the show prior to the current season! Quick, get stoned, we can help you.

      1. SarahJesness (@SarahJesness) Avatar

Dude, you’re wrong. You’re not supposed to remember anything that happens at all. Consistency sucks!
