After Ms. Krabappel gives Bart a month of detention, Bart gets his revenge on her by responding to her newspaper singles ad. Homer begins a “swear jar” to keep him cursing.
As by now I am sure you have all heard, Marcia Wallace died recently. So, in an action I consider highly respectful, FOX will air a Mrs. Krabappel centered episode from the actual Simpsons. This episode aired almost 22 years ago, and is one of my favorites. It ranks amongst those that cannot be separated by rankings, and I, for the first time in many, many years, will be watching The Simpsons as it is broadcast, while not under the threat of violence.
Although it is under terrible circumstances that this is happening, please enjoy the episode as I am sure Mrs. Wallace would want it that way.

Damn, well at least we get a normal Simpsons episode.
I haven’t seen a normal Simpsons episode since Michael Jackson died and they reaired the episode where he guest starred. (seriously, the networks at my town and my parent’s town only play Zombie Simpsons reruns. I’m convinced it’s a conspiracy to keep ZS running by making people forget how good the regular show was. Worked on me for a while, anyway. I can’t afford the DVDs…) I’ll definitely be tuning in. I’m glad Marcia is being memorialized with one of the best Edna episodes.
I hear you, my local station (local to New Zealand) air mostly Zombie Simpsons. Can’t remember last time I saw a classic episode rerun. All the TV spots advertise exclusively with clips from Zombie Simpsons. Bleccch.
Here in Brazil, FOX used to broadcast the whole Simpsons archive in a chronological order, but since somewhere around 2009, it’s only ZS except for some occasional Halloween or Christmas special blocks…
The ones in my area used to play Treehouse of Horror episodes (even the old ones) all October but then they stopped for some reason.
Ugh… They replaced it last minute with The Ned-liest Catch.
Wah, they didn’t air “Bart the Lover”! They aired that crappy “Nedna” episode instead. They probably won’t even explain why…

I wanted to watch Bart the Lover too and was pissed that they played a crappy ZS episode instead.
I missed this episode I thought then realized they never aired it for their own insane reasons probably having to do with money, advertising and other factors. A real screw you to the fans. And Marcia Wallace as well. The Episode was well below average and most likely the worst I ever saw. Now I know why SNPP.com stopped doing episode capsules in the early 2000’s (unless Fox threatened them or whatever).

The actress died RECENTLY you FOX morons, change your shit for Edna K’s funeral! Losing a million bucks is worthless when you make a billion a weekend.
