Ah, yes. One of the first eps to show signs of ZS things to come, but this ain’t a bad scene itself.
Will there be an ep tonight? Anybody know?
Check local listings; I think there’s new ZS & FG on because both Wikipedia & Cablevision say so, and they’re never unreliable, right?
Ok you were right, thanks. There was one.
Just wanted to comment on the description from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specs_and_the_City
Google Glass ripoff and more of gay Nelson. Golly.
> ripoff
Also, another obvious NSA/Snowden plot.
I haven’t seen it, but here’s how I think it will play out – the SImpsons go to a tech convention, where there’s a technology for everyone – virtual pacifier for Maggie, soap-box video game for Lisa where you win by proselytizing your opponents – Lisa beats out Anne Coulter and Gore Vidal, only to get clobbered by Malala Yousafzai. There’s also a bully simulator that Milhouse and Martin play. Then Homer approaches the Spoogle booth, where Frink who is the spokesperson is showing off his Spoogle Specs.
Homer makes a stupid comment and gets to try the specs, and everyone sees what he sees.
Homer goes to the bathroom and sits on the bowl to everyone’s horror, and then gets “foot tapped” by, oh, I don’t know, the rich Texan.
Then Homer creates a new Website and calls it “Homervision – all Homer all the time” and creates MeTube videos broadcasting his day. No one watches his videos and he is sad, until one of his videos which inadvertently catches Duffman and Chesperito engaging in some scandalous behavior. The video becomes popular, and Homer realizes that he can become popular by snooping on people and posting their indiscretions on the Internet.
He eventually gets taken in by the FBI/CIA/NSA and is asked to spy on Burns/Snowden/the Ukraine prostestors.
Hijinks ensue, Marge says “Oh, Homie” and Homer gets to beat up Putin who sees the error of his ways and grants Chechnya their independence.
LOL, that actually sounds like a real episode up until the last bit… you ruined it, you big ruiner! My sister likes you.
Ha – it sounds like a real episode, because i copied scenes from old episodes. but even in the last paragraph, i was inspired by Homer beating up Emperor Hirohito
Here’s your preview for the upcoming episode:
It’s terrible, man. You think you can write? If you want to write for Zombie Simpsons, you must
a) start every plot from Act III, then add the rest. Because.
b) every 27 seconds must feature a side character saying something. Because.
No go sit in the corner and think about what you just did.
You’re right – it’s true! I even forgot to include a Skinner-Chalmers scene.
I’m a horrible writer. Why do i even try?
Very creative Frank, but I think this episode or one like it has already been done, when Homer got a PC then started spying on people, ending up on a mysterious island somewhere out there…
‘The Computer Wore Menace Shoes’, I believe. A relic of season 12, I reckon.
actually, I was inspired by a ton of old episodes – trying to make fun of the fact that the new episodes are horrible rehashes of the older ones.
So not just “The Computer Wore Menace Shoes”, but also (and I know, some are Zombie episodes):
– Any episode where the family goes to the Convention Center
– HOMR
– 30 Minutes over Tokyo
– Homerazzi
– The Trouble with Trillions
– The Devil Wears Nada/The Regina Monologues
– Any episode with a celebrity saying something for no reason other than the fact that they are a celebrity
– Any episode where Homer inspires societal/political change because Homer makes them see the error of their ways, despite the efforts of thousands of people over hundreds of years.
No I mean that’s the ep Rob K was referring to.
Oh, & btw I think I have one of those razors, lol
