A transfer student who is an aspiring falconer swoops in to rescue Bart from school bullies, but Bart soon discovers that he and his new friend are not birds of a feather.
Welcome back from the winter/Olympics/Oscars break. We actually have TWO zombie episodes tonight. Apparently in the first one Bart makes friends with this strung out bird lover voiced by Harry Potter. Enjoy.

Apparently, if the Wikipedia page is to be believed, Daniel Radcliffe wants to fly himself.
Admittedly, I’m intrigued. May have to watch to see if this episode is as stupid as I think it’s going to be.
Also, the other episode is a Sideshow Bob episode. I’ll be watching “Brother From Another Series” beforehand.
Stale.
Yeah, that whole “boy befriends falconer” storyline is so old hat… no wait. No, I’ve never seen that ever before. Not once. Never.
Oh, you mean past Season 20? Of course, of course it’s fresh and new then, very interesting idea, fantastic storyline. Gonna go fetch my fuckgiver now, hold on.
Ah, a “this is how many fucks I give” comment. Yeah, you’re definitely somebody who I would trust to know what’s stale and what’s fresh.
You’re very welcome, Paddy. And knowing that you and the people like you are why this show’s still on air kinda makes it better, doesn’t it?
AVGN theme song (from youtube) comes to mind when seeing some comments (from Stan mainly) and reviews from Charlie (and Mike), but I’ve changed it a bit:
“He’s gonna take you back to the past, to the best Simpsons episodes that didn’t suck ass, but he’d rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in his ear, he’d rather eat the rotten asshole of a road kill skunk and down it with beer, then watch a rotten Zombie Simpsons episode, he’s the angriest Simpsons fan you’d ever seen, he’s the Fox TV nerd, he’s the angry Simpsons nerd”…
One dude I especially enjoy out there is Confused Matthew. This guy’s not a character, or a stereotype or something, he’s your regular bipolar basement dweller, and god oh god has he got the guts to shit on many movies. His take on The Lion King is simply amazing, I learned half of English critic words directly through his reviews.
And yes, when you know three and a half languages, it’s kinda hard to excel at a single one.
I love the Cinema Snob, a hilarious reviewer of the shittiest movies.
PB Gamer too, plus several other critics as well :)
Christ, why did I watch this?
Great to see Jerkass Homer in full force. Bart wants to donate $20 in church, so Homer, knowing full well that his son has no source of income, loans him it. He then proceeds to badger him for it back so relentlessly that Bart resorts to eating a dead frog for a dare to repay him. Bart then ends up in hospital.
Heartwarming stuff.
What Bart? What Homer? This sounds like a loser being pushed over his limits by a somehow wealthy moron.
Don’t forget that Homer has completely forgotten about the $20 debt by the time Bart pays him back, even though Bart was nearly poisoned to death trying to get it.
I’ll try to say something positive about this episode. I really liked The Triplets of Belleville style couch gag.
This one seemed to just go “Oh hey one time a kid tried to fly hE MUST BE MENTALLY ILL LET’S MAKE IT AN EPISODE”
At least he wasn’t wearing a pink shirt.
“Some kid tried to fly”… You don’t make episodes out of it. This idea rather belongs on a Love Is sticker.
Oh, by the way. This episode? Lived up to it’s title.
Maybe it was due to it’s pathetic timeslot, but this episode officially raked in 2.65 Million viewers. Yes. 2. Not 3. 2. The show has officially preformed worse than most of last year’s Cleveland Show episodes. Cleveland Show. Yes. I went there.
Ratings-wise, it’s been on life support for the past 4 years. Just write the final production cheques and pull the plug.
(Maybe FOX IS trying to kill it, though, and this was a way of trying to justify cancellation.. y’know, apart from the mediocre-to-poor quality of the episodes).
TCS didn’t get cancelled because of the ratings. It got cancelled because McFart is a racist shitter and his Ted the Bear character was totally a Huckleberry Hound/Barney Gumble crossbreed. I mean, Brian Griffin did push it far, sure, but this?!
Tim the bear, not Ted. Tim. Ted was SMcF’s movie bear. That movie, btw, was basically a live-action Family Guy movie, only with a negative amount of humor or wit rather than few or zero.
See, he’s so forgettable I didn’t even get his name right. And I was watching some TCS episodes back in the day.
Touché.
Seriously, Bart eats a dead frog so he can earn a few dollars to pay back Homer. What kind of plot is that? Granted it was a minor one, but all so Bart can be a big enough loser to turn to a lonely falconer who becomes an even bigger outcast.
I know this was suppose to be a more somber episode, but it was neither poignant or funny enough to be memorable. Though I concede that Diggs was slightly more memorable than other one-shot characters and some of the artwork was pretty good in this one.
Also, kinda wounds like this one classic Simpsons bit was made into an episode:
Krusty: “Her claws are really digging into my skull…” Trainer: “She can crush clams with them!”
wounds > sounds
Why the fuck did we need another Radcliffe appearance? How is he ever memorable? He already voiced two characters, including his icon, twice prior to that. There even was a joke of how he is better than Pattinson’s characters when it comes to wizardry and shit. And it was a Twilight parody. And, most of all, it was kinda laughable (though the bit as I remember it sucked major ass at whole).
I mean, why now? Did I miss on a movie where Radcliffe plays a falconer? Does this come from the stoned-Radcliffe-in-the-back-seat-of-a-taxi meme? I… I don’t get it.
None if us do, Stan. None of us. It’s best not to think about it.
