The original line in that scene (which showed up on the closed captioning) was that Hitler’s car appeared in Disney’s Electric Light Parade. The FOX legal team told them not to use it.
Also, according to the DVD commentary, Mike Scully’s dad(?) hated the part where Nelson said, “You wrecked Hitler’s car. What’d he ever do to you?” to Bart as Scully’s dad actually fought in World War II (the European theater, not the Pacific).
Wasn’t this line actually kept in the closed captioning by accident and was how fans first learned of this script change? Also, I keep wanting to think that “Diz-Nee” was the spelling found in the captioning, too.
