   how I hate Nelson Muntz

      I almost started my response with, “Ha, ha,” but then realized that I’d seem as if I was imitating Nelson which wouldn’t had been my intent. Anyway, I’m surprised with how liked Nelson is among the fanbase. He’s another one of those characters that Zombie Simpson writers seem to love using. He’s not quite on par with CBG and Ralph, but almost–maybe on the same tier as Lenny and Carl in terms of unnecessary usage.

   A lot of people say the animation kinda reached those sterile plains as early as Season 8 (and beginning in Season 6), but I say S8 still has some pretty good animation framegrab moments just as fluid, expressive, and non-rigid as the earliest series.

   Just look at Martin’s muffin hair-top! And that animation moment look on Nelson is just priceless.

   One of the last good variations on “Haw haw!” Bill and Josh loved riffing on Nelson’s laugh. They apparently wanted to have him point at someone eating a ham and say “Ham ham” at some point; not sure how they would have pulled that off.

      Huh. I didn’t know about the ham joke. I’m struggling to think of a way where that wouldn’t seem forced.
