I like Spinal Tap. Cool band. Got all their albums. Too bad that Smalls guy died of drug overdose and his brother Shearer quit.
I need to rewatch this episode since I saw the movie for the first time this past weekend. Great flick
My favorite part of my favorite season 3 episode
Huh, you’re the first person I’ve known to say that this is their favorite Season 3 episode. I usually hear people complain about how unremarkable it (ever though I’ve never had any issue with it myself).
*even though
You should really do a Spews Truth for this episode’s commentary sometime – it’s one of the funniest ever. Mike Reiss speaks so jovially about what a pain in the ass Christopher Guest was to work with, and James L. Brooks reminisces about FOX complaining about how much it cost them to get both Spinal Tap and the rights to “Spanish Flea” (which Dan Castellaneta sings in Homer’s voice over the end credits).
