I almost like how rudimentary this scene looks. You can tell they were still trying to get the designs down, and it’s evident from Homer’s mouth to Lisa’s off-kilter facial expression. But, there is still a charm to this, compared to the sterile drawings we’ve got today.
(Also having good writing doesn’t hurt it, either.)
