There’s another great screencap moment after this, where Marge angrily introduces herself to Lurleen as “MRS. Simpson” and she replies back “Charmed”. I love how she rolls her eyes quickly while she says that, like you can tell she’s up to no good here (which actually helps making the ending less heartbreaking once you know that).
Homer should’ve fucked Lurleen. He’s an idiot, see, most men have mistresses and keep it up and personal from their wives. But Homer is such a moron I just can’t get over it.
Yeah, but Homer, for all his jerkassery and idiocy, actually cares about Marge. Plus, you (and viewers like you) probably wouldn’t like it if he did do that. This is a season three episode, back when the characters weren’t caricatures of themselves.
What does Homer mean by “I’m not going to go into hock for this.”?
