912 was later revealed to be the real emergency number for anyone who was a Stonecutter (and, if I remember that episode correctly, Wiggum is a member). So this is either foreshadowing (like Mrs. Krabappel alluding to Groundskeeper Willie having a sexual fetish [in this case, being a videocamera-toting peeping Tom, as revealed on “Homer Badman”] or an ironic coincidence (like Mrs. Krabappel saying that she’ll never date Principal Skinner because “his mommy won’t ‘let him out to play'” and they end up dating until “My Big Fat Geek Wedding”).
Wiggum looks like he’s lost some weight in this shot…
Season 3’s animation was kinda rough (not as bad as seasons one and two, but season four was better). They were still with Klasky-Csupo.
