   This joke is one of those that seems funny at first sight, but doesn’t really make sense when you start to analyze it. Why the hell would Lisa be raising her hand to a PA speaker message, and why the hell would Skinner even assume there is a hand being raised at that moment?

   Stuff like this really devalues the punchline for me.

   (And on a smaller note, this episode is supposed to take place at the start of the school year, but the calendar in the background says March. What the hell? Maybe it’s supposed to be the 13th month, Smarch. Either way, it’s definitely a mistake.)

      true, but maybe they stopped flipping the calendar the previous March.
      I know I have a few calendars from 2011 that I never bothered to flip, or at this point, remove from the wall
