Huh, I never saw this joke – I wonder if it was cut during syndication.
It’s a good example of a child taking on some characteristics of a parent – I see this as something Homer would say
Too many good jokes were cut for the sakes of syndication, but the one that always stands out in my mind is in “Bart the Elephant” when Stampy is marching through the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. I had no idea about this joke until I actually saw the original broadcast, and I was both elated and pissed at the same time when I finally saw it, mainly because I thought it was the funniest joke in the episode! I would’ve rather had them cut the peanut factory scene instead.
The one I always notice is Bob walking with the bomb in the wheelbarrow. The syndication cut removes him hitting that rock and almost dropping it.
This baby’s wasted on an idiot like you. Where’s Homer?
Your father decided he’d rather come home in a taxi . . . or a police car.
