I was like you once. Angry and bitter over my favorite show’s decline. I spent an irrational amount of time and energy trying to show everyone I came in contact with that the show was terrible and a disgrace to it’s earlier greatness. I went to ridiculous lengths to shout down and discredit anyone who still enjoyed the show. They were idiots and I had to point that out to anyone who would listen. I wished Groening and company would just stop making episodes all together and let my favorite tv family die with at least a little dignity intact.
But then something wonderful happened. I let it go.
I encourage you to do the same.
Best regards,
Max Foster
Max, I appreciate the advice, but I’ve already been around that circle once before. I pretty much ignored Zombie Simpsons and, as you said, “let it go” for a few years there, and yeah, it felt good. But they didn’t let it go, they kept it up and gradually I got aggravated again. On the plus side, doing this site has meant that a) I have much better and more refined arguments than before and b) I’ve spent even more time than I used to watching the old ones, which is always a good thing.
