I could talk forever about how much I love this episode and list dozens and dozens of different bits. But despite all the hilarious moments this episode contained, one thing that always stood out about this show was the powerful moments that involved true family bonding and such. Like when Lisa nearly broke down when learning that Homer had sold his blimp ride to pay for her entering the pageant (thus leading to a completely memorable blimp scene later) and also the ending of ‘Lisa On Ice’. Not that we see scenes of the like nowadays…
