“Today, we wash Beulah. You know what that is?” – Mrs. Glick
“Some old lady thing nobody’s heard about for fifty years?” – Bart Simpson
“No. It was my wedding dress. But then I dyed it black and it became my mourning dress.” – Mrs. Glick

I’ll always hate Zombie Simpsons for killing Mrs. Glick in a stupid episode nobody gives a shit about. Her death doesn’t even have consequences for neither Bart or Martin, who directly caused it.
What episode was that?
The one where Bart teams up with Martin to create robot pet seals.

What was the reason for having her on the show anyway? It’s like having Agnes Skinner, only older.
Probably worth noting that Agnes as a character wasn’t fully fleshed out yet, and that back then the Simpsons didn’t mind having what were one off characters with original designs fill out their episodes (although Mrs. Glick appeared occasionally after this episode).
I do wonder, though – when was the first episode to showcase a bitter, abusive Agnes Skinner? I think it was “The Twisted World of Marge Simpson”, but I’m not sure.
Not sure, though I clearly remember her being pissed as early as “Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song” (when she dragged Skinner by the ear). Mrs. Glick wasn’t exactly Agnes either, but what I meant to say is ZS kept her for way too old for filler, instead of rather finishing her off in Season 12 and having Maude stay some more. But every time Glick was pissed old timer style it was Agnes all over. Much like Hoover often resembling Krabappel in behavior (at least I don’t note the difference), etc.
