I just created a 50s-style novelty pop song (along the lines of “Who Wears Short Shorts” using those lyrics.
I’m torn between liking and not liking this episode. A lot of the jokes were good (“Me Fail English?”, “-and if you get eaten, it’s your own fault., etc.), but in a town where there’s rarely any snow, with episodes surrounding football and baseball and bowling and never hockey, i find it hard to believe that this is the sport that Bart and Lisa would excel at let alone play.
Maybe it was meant to be a shout out to Canadian fans or the Canadian staff on the show, but it just seemed so out of place.
… Isn’t that why it WAS cool? It was a tad left of field.
I always really digged how their sports would (as apparent here) change with the seasons.
It ‘does’ snow in Springfield (Christmas episodes).
Not to mention the peewee everything else is horrendously overdone.
AND the fact that it was early to mid 90’s when films like Mighty Ducks were reigning relevant to children.
Sheesh, I think literally all the reasonings go against your comment as to why it WAS so likable.
ps mods… I would love to see a quick snippet after each quote from where/it was from.
