Off topic, but can you do a post on how Two Bad Neighbors was the true beginning of Jerkass Homer & his wacky adventures with Bart as his tag-along sidekick? I see a bit of that in Bart vs Australia as well. Must be an S7 thing.
Do you not like those episodes?
Compared to eps of latter seasons, definitely. I’m just pointing out a trend here that I noticed. Actually, I prefer Two Bad Neigbors, I dunno why but Bart vs Australia leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. It’s a decent ep, don’t get me wrong. Besides, that could just be because that ep was repeated in reruns too much back in the day. Also, I should correct myself: Bart vs Australia was from S6, NOT S7, my bad.
Yeah, a flaw of Bart vs. Australia might have something to do with it not taking place in Springfield for a chunk of the episode. I still like it of course but everyone loves the home feel of Springfield.
I’d probably put Two Bad Neighbors in my imaginary top ten funniest episodes list. It has loads of mundane humor with Bush, Flanders, Skinner, etc. (Have you sold that tie rack yet?)
“No, just candy, Ned! $90!” (that should be the next quote of the day)
