Homer’s a terrible father but he’s got nothing on Abe. No matter how mcuh awful shit Homer does to his kids, he never ignored Marge to the point where she left then told Bart and Lisa she died while they were out. It almost excuses the way Homer is.
Yeah, he’s terrible at fathering, but nowhere near a terrible person. He’s insensitive, lazy, and stupid, but very rarely expresses malice outside of a goof.
….Except Flanders, but I guess that can be chalked up to stupidity and insensitivity, since he has a bizarre perspective on that guy.
Did Talladega Nights ripoff this episode? The buffoonish-but-good hearted Ricky Bobby & his hippie mother?
