1. look at how they animate the camera moving down and slightly up while Moe dunks and removes the deep-fried meal. that’s absolutely nuts!
   and also, the candles are missing when he removes the food from the oil – either that was a goof or the animators brilliantly considered that a candle would melt and dissolve into the oil.

   1. Never noticed the candles melting before, now that’s quality animating

   2. They’re not missing, you see them completely dissolved.
      Also, about the camera thing – it looks like a partial zoom out, so you might think it moves downward. It’s the same trick when they show the character in one scene, then a big zoom in on his or her eyes, and when it zooms out, the scene is completely different. There’s even a word for it in the tropes (missing it).

      2. I wonder if they tested it out by trying to deep fry the candles?

         1. Well, if these were made out of butter then I’d be convinced. Because if you deep fry butter you practically lose it. Also, your kitchen will most likely nauseatingly reek for a week or so, if you decide to try this at home.
