    1. The point of this joke is that they both recognize each other, but think that the other one doesn’t. It’s not like one of these tropes where someone puts a beaglepuss on and suddenly they’re a different person. And when they both say “sucker” to each other at the end, it only serves to confirm their general dumbness.

      1. But they are still using the idea of “If I put on a fake mustahce, they’ll think I’m a completely different person.” Probably should have worded it differently, but I got the joke.
