Always loved how, in the Simpsons universe, all car horns are connected to the headlights.
i love how they managed to make the lights look so bright and luminescent just by blending the right colours – wonder how they do that?
It was actually a bit of camera trickery, but I don’t recall the specific process offhand. I know Jim Reardon talks about it on the DVD commentary for Dog of Death, though, so you can check that out.

I thought that was just Homer’s car that did that because it was either a clunker made in Guatemala or recycled from Soviet tanks or just a typical, poorly-made American car. I don’t know. This show was never that big on consistency, even in its golden years.
