I have no mouth, and must scream (when watching ZS. The writers are like AM, putting 5 people through insufferable existence (The Simpsons).
Another theory: The actors that played the Simpsons in that one episode are actually playing The Simpsons post season 12. The real Simpsons retired in Kentucky.

Nah. The family fell into comas in Delaware after a freak accident at the screen door factory. They’ve actually been stuck in a dream state… slowly worn down with hollow imitations of their supporting characters and quietly waiting for their misery to finally end.
Yeah, I was wondering about that, but, how do you explain Homer? He didn’t go to the screen door factory because he was washing the hobo and got to talking with him.
