When Homer loses $5,000 at a poker game with Broadway legend Laney Fontaine, the only way he is able to settle the bet is if he loans Lisa to Laney for a month. Then, Laney turns Lisa into a show biz kid and Marge and Homer fear they made a mistake letting her go. So they head to New York to get her back.

Well this is probably some record for laziness on my part. The episode airs 15 minutes from now and I am just putting this up. Not that it really matters. Anyway for tonight,  Homer basically sells his kid for a month to clear gambling debts, it’s a story as old as time.  I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed the sudden realization I had failed to complete the most basic of tasks that I only have to do like 20 times a year.

I bet they were going to call this one “Loan A Lisa,” until they realized that’s the title of a season 22 episode.

This is the third episode where the Simpsons go to New York, or are there more than that now?

      At least 3.

I know one of them is “The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson” (the one that had to be temporarily banned following the 9/11 attacks and the one on the DVD commentary where the producers and writers clearly say that they feel kinda bad writing this four years before the towers fell, but it wasn’t their fault. It just happened, even if that line “They stick all the jerks in Tower 1” is now considered in bad taste). What were the other two. Wasn’t one of them the one where Cletus’ daughter moves to New York to write for SNL?

It’s so freeing not watching this show anymore.

      Tell me about it.
The best part is when you get beyond visiting DHS (as it slowly becomes Zombie DHS with Charlie & co. losing interest…)

I bet they did a #PrayForParis reference in one of their opening “gags”. Because, y’know, Al-mighty Jean likes to jerk off while reading your tweets out there and all.

One of the signs in New York had that Eiffel Tower peace sign, isn’t that a #PrayForParis reference?

Nope, it was a reference to Gilbert duMotier:

It’s both. “Lafayette the Musical is a reference to Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette.” and “The theater’s sign was a peace sign with the Eiffel Tower in memory of the France terrorist attack on November 13, 2015.”

I completely forgot that Laney Fontaine was a recurring character.

So, they can insert last minute references in episodes they wrote scripts to over a year ago, but they still can’t pull the plug? Fuck, they’re worse than those Charlie Hebdo fuckwits.

I saw 4 Cowardly pigshits attack CH and take off, afraid of prison rape, wearing panties over their small heads.

I see 7 brain dead idiots draw stupid unfunny cartoons every fucking week, thinking they’re so clever. Bart’s cartoon about his dad was funnier.

I love how off topic this got. That takes serious skill.

So, a rip off of Burns’ Heir? Then again, what episode from before season ten hasn’t been ripped off in some way?

Every one of these looks like it’s been drawn in Microsoft Paint, and not in any talented way. Everything about The Simpsons used to be so much better than this
