Almost everything about this episode is perfect.
So the new episode last night wasn’t very good…
In other news, water has been confirmed to be wet; film at eleven.
It was awful. I couldn’t believe what an unimaginable bastard Milhouse was. ZS has no problem with characters not behaving like themselves as long as it advances the story line. The writers aren’t even trying. Prisoners were let loose to go find a missing boy, but that wasn’t played for comedy, it was straight. How did Bob tie up Bart and Milhouse on the top of the rocket? And it really bugged me how it was winter and then we see a “six months later” caption and it’s still winter. They just don’t care.
Only nine more episodes till the magic number 636 is hit and Al Jean will be able to sleep at night knowing there’s more episodes of the Simpsons than there is of Gunsmoke. Then I so hope that this thing will finally be able to end.
Ugh, another Sideshow Bob episode, I take it? The last few sounded so god awful.
Oh yes. And it featured him stepping on rakes. And singing Gilbert & Sullivan. Been there done that.
The rakes returned as early as Season 12’s “Day of the Jackanapes”, so it’s not even a recent choice from the ZS writers.
