An ongoing ramble by Charlie Sweatpants . .
Probably one of the best B-stories ever. I have to admit, I never “got” and still don’t “get” the story. I’m not the most profound, so everything has to have a “reason”. What was Karl’s purpose in the entire story? And it never was that evident to me. It was just a story, like a Ernest Hemingway short story. Art and literature in its purest form. And perhaps that’s why it is so timeless.
