I think the sheer absurdity of this scene is what makes it so funny.
Question: is The Andy Griffith Show good?
The black & white episodes are usually quite good. The color episodes rarely are. The spin-offs (Gomer Pyle, Mayberry RFD) are atrocious.
But what about that episode where Gomer upsets Sgt Carter. I’ll never forget that episode
