Marge looks like a Dr. Seuss character in that screenshot. Almost. :^x
Mmmm… LGBT discussion topic…
So Patty’s line on the season four Halloween episode about losing the last thread of her heterosexuality wasn’t just some non-canon throwaway joke about how seeing a screaming, naked Homer put her off her lunch? It actually was planned that Patty would be gay and not just some ass pull they put in the later episodes?
You know, sometimes I think the Simpsons writers purposely sabotaged their own show just because obsessive nerds like you and me pick it apart for some stupid shit.
I start.

I like it how people shit on Charlie’s blog, and then come back. At least I didn’t shit at first =)
I think it was more of a hint that she might be bisexual. Remember, around this time the MacGyver running gag was still going strong so having her becoming openly lesbo would have been kinda weird.
Still, Patty coming out of the closet was one of the very few ZS character changes that made sense. Too bad the episode absolutely sucked and ZS has done nothing with Patty’s new character trait since.
Replying “that’s girls’ stuff” isn’t bisexual, it’s straight lesbo we’re talking around here.
I watched Bart the Lover uncut and there was a penis joke in it. I dare you to find it.
I think this was a matter of rolling with the punches: Patty wasn’t originally intended to be a lesbian, but the writers decided to throw in more and more stuff that alluded to this over time and was curious to see if it stuck or not.
To give the writers on The Simpsons (and zombie Simpsons) some credit, this certainly makes more sense than how the one prosecutor in Law & Order basically asked if she was being dismissed because she was a lesbian.
