So long and rest in peace to the one true Batman, Adam West.

RIP, Mr. West.
I only saw a few episodes of that old Batman show, but even at that young age, found it too corny. I’ll probably remember him best as The Gray Ghost (a Batman TAS episode) and Mayor Adam West, though I stopped watching Family Guy even sooner than I stopped watching Zombie Simpsons. Does anyone know if they had a tribute or sendoff to him, or if they even used his character much anymore?
The character’s page on the Family Guy Wikia shows which episodes he has appeared in, including one in May, though it doesn’t say if those are speaking roles or not. (presumably most of them are, which means the Mayor was active) I wouldn’t be surprised if they retired the character.
He was in his usual amount of episodes in this new season (making a speaking appearance every few episodes), but the season wrapped up a week or two ago so there’s been no tribute to him yet. Although Seth MacFarlane and a few other cast members have posted some kind words about him online.
They’ve used him. His voice acting in recent episodes gave the signs he was very sick.
The last time they had Mayor West was the episode where Chris falls for a Mexican girl who gets deported, but that was a short appearance. Maybe they have an unaired episode with West doing voicework (like how they had a few with Carrie Fisher as Peter’s boss, Angela, that they did before she died) and they’ll find a way to write off or replace the character.
According to Family Guy’s Twitter feed, they’re airing a tribute to him this Sunday. They’re making it sound like it’s a new episode (maybe a clip show-type thing), but the details are unclear as of right now
My mom grew up with the TV series, she’s pretty upset about it.
