Simpsons on the Head of a Pin

This is extremely awesome.  A British artist named Willard Wigan creates very tiny things.  As you can see at left, one of the things he’s created is Homer choking Bart on the head of a pin.  At the gallery page of his website you can see numerous other examples, including a teeny weeny Marilyn Monroe having her skirt blown up (by what looks like a diamond) and the Statue of Liberty in the eye of a needle.  If you happen to live in London there’s even a gallery you can go and visit or you can purchase prints on-line (though…

Crazy Noises: El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Homer

“Has anyone seen Homer?” – Marge Simpson “Marge, better you hear it from me than some gossipy neighbor.  Homer made a total jackass of himself.” – Helen Lovejoy “Oh Helen that’s enough, call off your dogs.” – Rev. Lovejoy “But someone had to tell her, and I got here first.” – Helen Lovejoy In an attempt to fill the summer with love, hate and pointless Simpsons commentary we at the Dead Homer Society are going to spend some time overthinking Season 8.  Why Season 8?  Because Season 8 is when The Simpsons really began to deteriorate into Zombie Simpsons.  That’s why.…

Dead Homer Society, Meet Twitter.

Lisa: Forget it, Dad.  If I ever become famous, I want it to be for something worthwhile, not because of some obnoxious fad. Bart: Obnoxious fad? “Forget it, Dad.  If I ever become famous, I want it to be for something worthwhile, not because of some obnoxious fad.” – Lisa Simpson “Obnoxious fad?” – Bart Simpson Have you ever taken a shit or clubbed a baby seal and thought to yourself, “Gee, I wish I could share this meaningful experience with everyone who has a web browser?”  Twitter, the obnoxious Internet fad-of-the-moment, is your outlet.  And now, it’s ours too.  Think…

Quote of the Day

“As you know Bart, your permanent record will one day disqualify you from all but the hottest and noisiest jobs.” – Mrs. Krabappel “What do you say, son?  You keep our secret and some other student can inherit your gloomy, windblown future.” – Principal Skinner “Deal.” – Bart Simpson

Pornography Monday

“Don’t turn on the light!  Don’t turn on the light!” – Homer & Marge Simpson It’s time for more pornographic search terms that lead people to the Dead Homer Society.  This month’s installment includes two separate searches for people who want to watch Bart get it on with Milhouse and the incestuously specific, “marge sucking bart homer is fucking marg”.  No word on the preferred position. porno lisa simsonlisa and bart fucking in the bad lisa simpsons naked free foto bart fuck marge simpson bart and lisa sleeping together bart and lisa naked small boobs lisa simpson homer simpson porn…

Everything I Need to Know I Learned From The Simpsons

I love The New York Times.  It’s full of new information and it comes right to your house; you don’t even need to turn your computer on to read it.  It’s not all good though.  Every Sunday morning it contains an irresistible nugget of shit, the “Ethicist” column.  Wealthy, mildly deranged people with slightly guilty consciouses write in to have their sins absolved by The New York Times.  They ask piddling, self justifying questions that sometimes end with the one word sentence “Ethical?”.  As much as I loathe this part of the paper it’s always one of the first things…

Humiliations Galore

There is a moment in “Bart’s Dog Gets an F” (Season 2) that perfectly illustrates the real Homer Simpson.  Through nothing more than stupidity, and the relentless confidence that comes with such stupidity, Homer is utterly certain that his dog is in his back yard.  Of course, he is wrong: Homer, as is his way, makes a tremendous ass of himself before he is indisputably proved wrong.  That is the kind of grueling suburban humiliation that made Homer an America hero.

Still Careful About What I Wish For

“You’ll be the captain; you’ll be the delivery boy; and you’ll be the alcoholic, foul mouthed-oh god, you’re alive!  I mean, thank god you’re alive!  Sorry, check back in three days, a week at the most.” – Prof. Farnsworth This is fresh in from the Rockin’ Rumor Department, but it looks as if FOX is at least thinking about recasting Futurama.  Phil LaMarr’s Facebook page says this: Phil LaMarr is happy for my friends at Family Guy (Emmy nomination!) and very unhappy for my friends at Futurama (replacing the cast!) Forces of Geek has a full casting notice for Fry,…

Friday Link Dump – Emmy Apathy Edition

“This award is the biggest farce I ever saw.” – Lisa Simpson “What about the Emmys?” – Bart Simpson “I stand corrected.” – Lisa Simpson Emmy nominations were announced this week and Zombie Simpsons didn’t get nominated for Best Comedy, but Family Guy did.  As a result, cartoon wars raged across the plains of the internet.  But I don’t care in the slighest; I have two reasons for this: 1) We’re talking about Zombie Simpsons not The Simpsons.  And 2)  It’s the fucking Emmys!  Who gives a shit?  Anyway, there’s some good usage plus an excellent idea for a Ramones…

Crazy Noises: Homer’s Phobia

“Homer, didn’t John seem a little . . . festive to you?” – Marge Simpson “Couldn’t agree more, happy as a clam.” – Homer Simpson “He prefers the company of men.” – Marge Simpson “Who doesn’t?” – Homer Simpson “Homer, listen carefully.  John is a ho – mo – ” – Marge Simpson “Right.” – Homer Simpson “Sexual.” – Marge Simpson “Ahhhhhhh!” – Homer Simpson In an attempt to fill the summer with love, hate and pointless Simpsons commentary we at the Dead Homer Society are going to spend some time overthinking Season 8.  Why Season 8?  Because Season 8…

The best kind of hatred

Ah, “Sight Gags” posts.  It’s been a while, no?  Let’s kick it off again – doesn’t that rainbow “HATRED” make you want to hug, then punch, someone?

Quote of the Day

“You know that feeling you get when a thousand knives of fire are stabbing you in the heart?  I got that right now…” – Homer Simpson

Crazy Noises: The Twisted World of Marge Simpson

“I’m afraid I must insist.  You see, my wife, she has been most vocal on the subject of the pretzel monies.  ‘Where’s the money?’  ‘When are you going to get the money?’  ‘Why aren’t you getting the money now?’ and so on.  So, please, da money.” – Fat Tony In an attempt to fill the summer with love, hate and pointless Simpsons commentary we at the Dead Homer Society are going to spend some time overthinking Season 8.  Why Season 8?  Because Season 8 is when The Simpsons really began to deteriorate into Zombie Simpsons.  That’s why.  Because we’re cutting edge…

Quote of the Day

“You sound like you’re going to buy a pony.  Promise me you won’t.” – Marge Simpson “Mmm.” – Homer Simpson “What was that?  Was that a yes or a no?” – Homer Simpson “Buh.” – Homer Simpson “Those aren’t even words!” – Marge Simpson “Snuh.” – Homer Simpson “Mmm.” – Marge Simpson

Quote of the Day

“Well, you know what I think?  I think Casper is the ghost of Richie Rich.” – Bart Simpson “Hey, they do look alike!” – Lisa Simpson “Wonder how Richie died…” – Bart Simpson “Perhaps he realized how hollow the pursuit of money really is and took his own life.” – Lisa Simpson “Kids, could you lighten up a little?” – Marge Simpson

FOX Plans Self Fellatio for January

“Listen Senor Spielbergo, I want you to do for me what Spielberg did for Oskar Schindler.” – C.M. Burns “Uh, Schindler es bueno, senor Burns es el diablo.” – Senor Spielbergo “Listen Spielbergo, Schindler and I are like peas in a pod.  We’re both factory owners, we both made shells for the Nazis, but mine worked, dammit!  Now go out there and win me that festival!” – C.M. Burns Morgan Spurlock, of Super Size Me fame (and Where in the World is Osama bin Laden? mild notoriety), will be producing and directing a FOX special called “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special…
